Will clean tech clean up?
Last week saw around 350 delegates gather at the Cleantech Forum in Frankfurt, Germany to find out more about investing in clean technology. The field is currently booming: Gina Domanig, managing partner of Emerald Technology Ventures, told environmentalresearchweb that while clean tech was flat for the first five years after the company's formation under the name SAM Private Equity in 2000, it has exploded in the last two years. And just a few weeks ago financial services business Citigroup committed $50 bn over the next 10 years to address climate change through supporting the commercialization and growth of alternative energy and clean technology.
