International Conference Energy & Meteorology (ICEM) 2011

ICEM 2011 will be held from 8 – 11 November 2011 at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (Pre-Conference Seminar Energy & Meteorology: Fundamentals and Challenges on 7 November 2011).

We will be welcoming keynote speakers from around the world to discuss topics such as:
“Role of weather and climate information in infrastructure finance, deployment and security” - Dr Gary Geernaert, USA
“Special report on renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation of the IPCC” - Prof. Ralph Sims, New Zealand
“Sustainable bioenergy in Africa: issues and possibilities” - Mr Mersie Ejigu, Uganda
“Deployment of smart grids: Lessons learned and perspectives in Europe” - Mr Michele de Nigris, Italy

In addition to a very attractive plenary programme, the four-day ICEM also features high-quality oral presentations from selected submitted abstracts, working group sessions, panel sessions and poster presentations. An appealing social event programme – Welcome Reception, Happy Hour & Poster Viewing and Conference Dinner – and a trade exhibition nicely complement the Conference programme.
